Ralph Kimball

Ralph Kimball is the father of dimensional data modelling and one of the most influential figures in the history of data engineering, whose book The Data Warehouse Toolkit (Wiley) has defined how organisations structure analytical data for more than 25 years. A Xerox PARC alumnus and founder of the Kimball Group, his methodology remains the foundation beneath most modern analytics stacks, taught to every generation of data professionals since the 1990s.
